Is Serem free / open source?
No. Serem Trader is a closed-source commercial product. At launch, paper mode will be free; live trading requires a paid subscription.
Portions of architecture originated from Krypt Trader (MIT). That attribution does not make Serem open source.
Where do my Kalshi API keys go?
On your Windows PC only — encrypted at rest. Orders go from your machine to Kalshi. Serem does not run a trading proxy that holds your keys.
When can I buy a subscription?
Self-serve checkout is paused until public launch (August 2026). See pricing / launch details or email hello@seremtrader.com.
Does automation guarantee profits?
No. Trading event contracts involves substantial risk of loss. Strategies are experimental. Past or paper results do not predict future performance. Read the risk disclosure before using real money.
What platforms are supported?
Windows desktop at launch. The product focuses on Kalshi 15-minute crypto markets. Serem is not affiliated with Kalshi.

Origin (MIT attribution)
Serem was originally developed as a heavily modified fork of Krypt Trader (MIT License, Copyright © 2026 Krypt).
Substantial portions of architecture remain derived from that MIT-licensed work, even where
extensively rewritten. We retain the Krypt MIT notice in product NOTICE
and on the in-app About screen.
MIT attribution does not make Serem open source. It does not grant rights to fork, redistribute, or resell the Serem product outside Serem’s commercial terms.
Third-party components
The app also uses common open-source libraries under their own licenses (typically MIT, BSD, Apache-2.0, or similar), including Electron, React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Lucide, Python packages such as httpx, and related tooling.
A dependency review found no GPL/AGPL-style licenses that would force Serem’s application source to be published. Those components remain under their original licenses; Serem’s product as a whole stays proprietary.
What you get as a subscriber
- Windows desktop installer and product updates under your active plan.
- Right to use the software per Terms of Service — not ownership of the source code.
- Local storage of your keys and history on your machine.
Kalshi and other trademarks belong to their owners. Serem Trader is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kalshi unless stated in writing.
